Livery Licensing Law
In September of 2023, the Rockland County Legislature passed a Local Law to regulate for-hire (taxi and livery) vehicles, drivers and base stations for the purpose of protecting consumers. The Law will go into effect in July of 2024.
TAXI LAW FEEDBACK
The following Feedback Form is intended to gather suggestions and input from the public as the County prepares specific rules and regulations to administer and enforce the new law. Some common suggestions include: "No tinted windows," "Partition between driver and rear passengers," "Taxis must be numbered," "Fares must be regulated."
